 David Lane: Senior Guide & Instructor


Dave has over a decade of professional guiding experience and is a truly gifted world class climbing guide. He is a certified rock climbing guide at the PCGI Multi-Pitch Guide. Dave was also instrumental in the development of the standards for the nationally recognized PCGI Multi-Pitch Guide and Top Rope Guide training and certification programs, via contributing countless hours of R&D and manual writing for the PCGI. He also served as the first Technical Director for the Professional Climbing Guides Institute (PCGI). We are extremely proud and excited that Dave is part of the world class team at Joshua Tree Guides!

 Seth Zaharias: Senior Guide & Instructor

Climb with Seth, a guide whose world class rock climbing guide skills were chosen to be featured on the Dr.Phil Show! (click here for the video) Seth has been a full time professional rock climbing guide for ten years and is a certified rock climbing guide at the PCGI Multi-Pitch Guide level. He is a local Joshua Tree rock climber and guide, master of the art of guided rock climbing and former Yosemite Search and Rescue team member. Seth also happens to know Joshua Tree National Park better then anyone you will ever meet. A guided day with Seth is a day you will surely hold as one of the most positive, memorable and educational experiences of your lifetime! 
 


Tim Moore: Guide and Instructor

Tim is a long time Joshua Tree climber who has amassed over 22 years of climbing knowledge and experience for sharing with you! He is a super nice guy who will without a doubt impart his love of rock climbing into your next climbing trip!

Matt "Tristan" Sieleman: Senior Guide and Instructor

 

Matt has been climbing for over a decade and is a PCGI Certified Multi-Pitch Guide. He is also a local Joshua Tree climber and guide. Matt loves climbing and hanging out with old and new friends in Joshua Tree National Park! Matt has a vast amount of climbing and guiding experience. His climbing experience spans the globe! Matt has climbed extensively in the Eastern Sierra, Joshua Tree, Colorado, Grand Tetons, France, Canada and Australia. On top of all that climbing experience, Matt is a patient and energetic guide. He is a truly wonderful person to spend a day climbing with. A day climbing with Matt is always a great day!

Gary Chandler: Guide and Instructor

Gary has been guiding in Joshua Tree National Park since 2004 and is a PCGI Certified Top Rope Guide. Gary learned to climb in 1983 at the University of Maine where he earned a B.S. in Forestry Management. He came to Joshua Tree after 12 years as a Paramedic on an elite back country rescue team in Portland, Oregon. Gary's other outdoor pursuits include back country skiing and whitewater canoing. 


David Wolff: Guide and Instructor
David has guided rock climbing adventures across the USA from the New River Gorge to Joshua Tree National Park. He now makes his home in the town of Joshua Tree, Ca. David is a relaxed and fun guy to spend time climbing with. He is also a PCGI Certified Lead Guide.


Certification: Our rock climbing guides and instructors hold certifications from the PCGI, a nationally recognized non-profit certifying body which is a required rock climbing guide certification by Joshua Tree National Park.
